Hands-on learning, preparation for credentialing, and immersive classroom experiences are just a few things to expect with our MAT.

Experience Hands-On Learning

Observe, co-teach, plan lessons, and work closely with a guiding teacher to hone your skills and build your confidence in the classroom. And, after your first semester, complete student teaching four days per week at a school in your area.

Advance Education

Develop tools and strategies to challenge norms, build stronger communities, and positively impact students of various backgrounds and learning abilities in any educational setting.

Prepare for Credentialing

Gain the skills and confidence to teach English, Math, Science, or Social Science in educational settings. And, after completing the program, be recommended for California’s Single Subject Teacher Credential.

Earn a Prestigious Degree

Immersive Experiences

Beginning in the second semester of the program, you will complete student teaching four full days a week (minimum of 28 hours per week) at a placement site.
