Explores the design and evaluation of learning environments—with a particular focus on the integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Data-Informed Learning Design A| EDUC 598a | 2 Units

Understand how to use data, including AI-supported tools, to design, assess, and improve equitable learning experiences.

Spring Semester

AI and Learning Technologies B | EDUC 565b | 3 units

Learn how to assess learning, behavior, and impact using inclusive, data-driven strategies to support equity in instructional design.

Inclusive and Accessible Instructional Design | EDUC 591 | 3 Units

Appraise practices that maintain power; create strategies to empower individuals and marginalized groups by intervening to achieve equitable outcomes in education, professions and communities.

Summer Semester

Data-Informed Learning Design B | EDUC 598b | 2 Units

Design, prototype, and pitch AI-powered learning solutions that apply instructional principles, center equity, and drive innovation in education.

Implementing Principles of Instructional Design | EDUC 595 | 3 Units

Discuss formulation and design of effective instruction; with an emphasis on analysis of media characteristics and instrumentation requirements.

Year 2

Fall Semester

Lifespan Human Development | EDUC 589 | 3 Units

Discuss fundamentals of human physical, motor, mental, social, and emotional development, spanning the prenatal period through late adulthood.

Master’s Studio A | EDUC 587 | 2 Units

Create a proposal and design a capstone project that applies knowledge and skills learned throughout the program and prepare your coursework portfolio.

Spring Semester

Data-Informed Learning Design C | EDUC 598c | 2 Units

Transform complex learning data into clear, actionable insights by building AI-assisted dashboards and visual tools that support instructional decisions and stakeholder communication.

Master’s Studio B | EDUC 588 | 4 Units

Implement the capstone project and submit your portfolio which will integrate program coursework.
